Dungee, Rudolph WO1 KIA 2/12/67 UH-1D, B-227th Working out of LZ Hammond.
This information came to us through OPS. Aircraft was on resupply to troops in field
(Cav grunts). Fire had been received in area. Heard aircraft with Don? Walker (AC)
and Dungee had gone down. Taken fire by .51 cal.; hit tail rotor.
Dungee was only KIA? Dungee died a day or two later.
LT. Walker sent to field hospital. I [Paul Vernon] lived with Dungee in tent
at LZ Hammond. Related during VHPA 1998 by:

Reason: aircraft lost or crashed
