While on Landing Zone this helicopter
was Landing at 0015 feet and UNK knots.

ballistic projectiles less than 20 mm in size. (7.62MM)
The helicopter was hit in the Left Side

After take-off, the crew heard a loud noise
followed by a drop in engine RPM.
The AC immediately went into an autorotation

Accident Summary:

While on an approach to a sloped pinnacle, the aircraft lost RPM.
The pilot attempted to fly out by turning left down the slope.
The aircraft cleared the trees but upon settling, the tail boom struck a tree.
